STREET PRIDE(Formerly PICK IT UP INITIATIVE)

As well as providing a Quality Management Service to our tenants on Richmond Park and West Park, we have been working with the Ashton Regeneration Team at Ashton Underlined on a number of projects to improve our neighbourhoods. One such project launched in 2005 was the Pick it Up initiative, now rebranded as Street Pride.

Keeping Ashton Tidy

The project has been funded by the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund and its aim is to address the ongoing problem of litter and its impact on the environment in the St Peter's Ward of Ashton.

Employing two dedicated litter pickers recruited from the local area, the initiative hopes to address the social and health problems associated with litter, through a campaign of affirmative action and educational awareness.

It is worth noting, however, that this project does not replace or duplicate mainstream services provided by the local council.

Litter picking on our estates

We also employ a dedicated Estate Services Assistant responsible for ensuring our neighbourhood and estates are free from litter. If you have any litter concerns then please contact Customer Services during office hours.
