ENDING YOUR TENANCY

Your Tenancy Agreement is a legally binding contract. If you wish to end your tenancy, you must give Ashton Pioneer Homes the required notice as detailed below.

Process

• We require 4 weeks written notice, either by letter, or by attending our office, where a Customer Services Officer will complete the necessary forms on your behalf.
• Your Housing Officer will arrange a pre-termination inspection. If you have any outstanding arrears a repayment arrangement will be discussed at this point.
• You must return the keys by 12 noon on the Monday your tenancy ends, if not before. If your keys are returned late you will be charged an additional weeks rent.
• Ensure that your property is clean and that you take all your belongings with you, as any leftover items will be disposed of and the cost recharged to you.
• Please also remember that any damage caused during your tenancy, as well as additional cleaning required, is chargeable.

Reminder

• Notify your gas, electric & water companies
• Have your mail redirected
• Return your keys

Finally, if you have any old curtains you do not wish to take with you, we would be very grateful if you could leave them at the windows of your property.
